Balnaves of Coonawarra is a small family owned winery. They produce consistently high-quality wines from fruit sourced from their own Coonawarra vineyards. Their unique Wine Room overlooks a tranquil pond full of bird life, surrounded by vineyards. Picnic box filled with selected cheeses and cured meats and gourmet seasonal produce.

In 1968 Brian and Tony Lynn commenced planting a viney rs the Lynn family’s property, Majella. Eventually the vineyard grew to some 60 hectares, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, with some small plantings of Riesling and Merlot.

DiGiorgio Family Wines is a family
owned and operated winery. The winery, the second oldest in the region, is surrounded by 13.5 hectares of vineyard, planted as early as 1963.

“On offer was a tasting tray of 6 wines that we could select from a list andalso there was a variety of foods, pates, terrines, relish, crusty bread,cheeses, and a trio of meats that were arranged on a platter for us to share with friends. It was the perfect way to sit back and relax and enjoy the food, with the bottle of wine which we purchased after our tasting."

Brand’s Laira is an iconic winery

Wynns Coonawarra Estate was founded by Scottish pioneer John Riddoch, who planted vineyards in 1891. Visitors can enjoy tastings of current and back vintage wines in Wynns tasting facility and interpretive centre. Wines by the glass plus an extensive offering of back vintage wines and magnums for sale.

The Glen Roy Shearing Shed is a beautiful mixture of history, humour and creativity. The 1868 Glen Roy Shearing Shed was designed by Architect William Thomas Gore and built by Chinese labourers en-route to the gold fields. Sheep were still shorn until 2009, sensitively renovated now it is home to Bellwether Wines boutique winery, community kitchen, cellar door, produce garden and campground,

Since 1908, four generations of the Redman family have been crafting premium red wines from Coonawarra's terra rossa soil. The wines are typically Australian, bold and flavoursome, made to drink now and to age for years to come. Redman’s make wine using many of the traditional techniques, such as hand pruning and open fermentation, to produce handcrafted wines ready to drink now, and with the potential to age for many years.

All of our wines are grown and made from our 80 hectare vineyard. A tasting through our range is a journey across the estate which each wine capturing something of the essence of Whistle Post and the journey from 'grower to glass'. ​
