Your day in Coonawarra

Pickup: Free pickup from your accommodation in Naracoorte, Penola or Coonawarra.
Morning: Begin with your first cellar door visit and a tasting of Coonawarra's famous Cabernet Sauvignon and other fine wines.
Mid-morning: Visit a second cellar door, chosen to suit your group.
Lunch: Choose a cheese or produce platter at a cellar door, a BBQ on the lawns, or a restaurant lunch at Hollick Upstairs or Ottelia in Coonawarra.
Afternoon: Visit two or three more cellar doors, with time to relax, enjoy the vineyard views, and take your time.
Photo stop: Coonawarra Railway Siding, a well-known local landmark.

Our luxury wine tour of Coonawarra offers comfort for 2 to 4 guests. Everyone settles into their own captain's chair with plenty of room to relax between cellar doors. The ride is smooth and quiet, so the conversation (and the wine talk) flows easily.

It's a small, personal tour. Your driver knows the region well and looks after you from the moment we pick you up. We handle the details; you enjoy every moment.

What to expect

Join us for a personalised winery tour visiting three to four of Coonawarra's finest cellar doors. You'll taste the region's iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, along with crisp, aromatic whites and lively sparkling wines. Whatever you prefer, there's something to suit.

Proposed itinerary

11.15 am: Pickup from Naracoorte
12 pm: Pickup from Coonawarra and Penola
You choose your cellar doors: Pick three to four from Parkers, Hollick, Raidis, Balnaves, Zema, Redman, Bellwethers, Majella and Rymill.
Lunch: A shared produce platter with wine tasting at either Patrick of Coonawarra or Brand's Laira.
Finish in style: Wynns Coonawarra Estate, with its iconic gabled winery dating to 1896.

Begin your day in Naracoorte, where ancient history meets world-class wine. Explore the Naracoorte Caves World Heritage Site, home to fossils dating back hundreds of thousands of years. Walk through the Wonambi Fossil Centre, which depicts the landscape and megafauna that once roamed the region, then step into the Victoria Fossil Cave, where stalactites, stalagmites, and fossil chambers reveal Earth's prehistoric past.

Then we head to the heart of the Coonawarra Wine Region. You'll discover rich, bold Cabernet Sauvignon and other varieties grown in the region's famous terra rossa soil. Settle in for an afternoon platter with a complimentary glass of wine, then enjoy tastings at 2 more cellar doors.
