Fabulous day of wine tasting in the Coonawarra

​We had a fabulous private tour of the Coonawarra thanks

to Dave and Sonja at

My Coonawarra Wine Tours.
Sonja planned a great day of tastings at 6 wineries, providing suggestions to us before we travelled so that we could pick what suited us. (FYI the food bites experience at DiGiorgio was our top experience of the day!)
David picked us up from our accommodation and was a great companion and driver for us for the day, providing local information and taking us to a couple of local points of interest as well during our day.
I found the cost of the tour to be incredibly reasonable, particularly in comparison to what similar companies in other South Australian wine regions charge.
I wouldn't hesitate to book them again if travelling in the region again in future.

Full day of wine tasting in the Robe wine region.

 

Seven of us from Melbourne/Anglesea were holidaying in Robe. Sonja sent a detailed itinerary with all the information costs itinerary etc; we had a fabulous day and Dave was gr8 and nothing was a problem for him.   • What is the maximum group size for the Coonawarra Wine Tour?
    At Coonawarra Wine Tour, we cater for small groups from 7 people in our Hyundai Imax to up to 10 people in our larger passenger vehicle. Whether you're planning a day out with friends or celebrating a special occasion, our tours can accommodate your group size to ensure an intimate and personalized experience. We believe in providing a comfortable and enjoyable journey for all our guests, and our vehicles are designed to accommodate small groups for an unforgettable wine tasting adventure in Coonawarra.
  • Can I book a private wine tour for a small group with Coonawarra Wine Tour?
    Yes, you can book your own private tour for two or more people. The price of a group booking applies, and you just need to divide it up into how many people are coming on the private tour. You can either book online as a group booking or contact us via email or phone to arrange a private tour for your small group. We are happy to accommodate private tours and can tailor the experience to your preferences, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable wine tour for you and your group.
  • How many wine cellar doors can we visit and can we choose which ones we would like to visit
    You can choose which Wine Cellar doors that you would like to visit and we will customise your tours to fit in with your choices. Typicallly a full day tour will be from 5 - 6 wine cellar doors and the half day from 3 - 4 wine cellar door. It is dependent on the size of your group and how long you spend for your lunch option.
  • Do you pick up from our accommodation in Penola,Coonawarra or Naracoorte? Will you also pick up from Mount Gambier, Robe or KIngston?
    We provide complimentary pickups from Naracoorte, Penola, or Coonawarra for your convenience. Our goal is to make your experience with us as seamless as possible. However, pickups from Mount Gambier or Robe/Kingston will incur a $100 surcharge. This ensures that we can accommodate pickups from a wider area while still providing a high level of service to all our customers. If you have any questions or need to make special arrangements, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to make your wine tour experience as enjoyable as possible.
  • What food options are available for our lunch stop.
    At Coonawarra Wine Tour, we offer a variety of food options to complement your wine-tasting experience. You can indulge in produce platters at select cellar doors for about $25 per person, allowing you to savor local cheeses, meats, and other delicious accompaniments. For a more upscale dining experience, you can opt for a delightful à la carte meal at Coonawarra's renowned restaurant, Ottelia, priced at $50 per person. Additionally, if you're interested in exploring the local town of Penola, you'll find charming local bars and eateries that offer a mix of casual and gourmet dining options to suit your preferences. Feel free to bring your own picnic lunch and enjoy a scenic outdoor dining experience at one of the cellar doors. The choice is yours!"
