Marking 50 years of marriage is a remarkable milestone that calls for a celebration filled with meaning, warmth, and connection. Recently, a beautiful family from New South Wales chose Coonawarra as the backdrop for this special occasion. Their golden anniversary was not just a holiday but a gathering of three generations, sharing love, stories, and laughter.
The family included Mum and Dad, their children and partners, and four grandchildren aged 1, 3, 5, and 8.
Exploring Coonawarra’s Wineries
The first stop was Balnaves of Coonawarra, known for its warm hospitality and elegant wines. The welcoming atmosphere set a perfect tone for the day, inviting everyone to relax and connect.
Next, they visited Brand’s Laira, The family enjoyed a relaxed and memorable stop at Brand’s Laira, where they settled in for a leisurely lunch together. Sharing a classic Ploughman’s Platter, it was the perfect chance to slow down, connect, and enjoy each other’s company. Alongside lunch, they sampled a range of Brand’s Laira’s premium wines, crafted from some of the region’s oldest vines, adding something special to the experience. Good food, great wine, and family at the heart of it all.
The journey continued to Bellwether Wines, where the rustic setting created a cozy environment for storytelling. The family enjoyed tasting wines that carried the character of the land, while the grandchildren played nearby.
Finally, the day ended at Di Giorgio Family Wines, a place where family values and tradition are deeply rooted. This visit felt especially fitting, as the spirit of the winery echoed the day’s theme of connection and heritage.
